Rampal Upazila

Rampal (Bengali: রামপাল) is an Upazila of Bagerhat District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.

Geography

Rampal is located at . It has 33119 units of house hold and total area 335.46 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Rampal has a population of 167070. Males constitute are 50.83% of the population, and females 49.17%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 93518. Rampal has an average literacy rate of 45.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.^[1]

Rampal has 11 Unions/Wards, 140 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 149 villages.
